Cizzle Brands racks up $4.9m in net sales of CWENCH Hydration since May
Newly-listed sports beverage maker Cizzle Brands Corporation (CBOE: CZZL) has reported sales of over 1 million ready-to-drink units of its flagship CWENCH Hydration brand since its official launch in May.
The sales have generated approximately $4.9 million for the company, with a 62% gross margin.
Orders of Cizzle Brands products have been received from 18 of a total 32 teams in North America’s National Hockey League (NHL); and 14 of a total 30 teams in Major League Baseball (MLB).
Teams from the National Football League (NFL); National Basketball Association (NBA), and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) teams have also placed orders.
Increasing knowledge
Cizzle Brands’ Chairman and Chief Executive Officer John Celenza said the company was created at a time of increasing knowledge about health and hydration.
“We developed Cizzle Brands in response to growing awareness about how what goes into our bodies affects our health and well-being. Current leading sports nutrition brands offer products that are filled with sugar, artificial ingredients and trans fats and we believe the world is demanding better choices, but the world is demanding better” he said.
“In less than 12 months, we have taken CWENCH from a concept to an in-demand tangible product with a multi-million dollar sales pipeline and a listing on a Tier 1 stock exchange… we expect 2025 to be a tremendous year in which we continue to drive growth and momentum while providing a better hydration option for athletes and health-conscious consumers of all ages.”
Hockey agreement
In September, Cizzle secured a five-year strategic agreement with Canlan Ice Sports Corp. to elevate grassroots hockey throughout Canada and promote the CWENCH brand.
Under the terms of the deal, Canlan will rebrand its Toronto-based sports complex as the CWENCH Centre and provide CWENCH with a dedicated rink at the complex which will include a branded players bench, rink boards, dressing room wayfinding and ice resurfacer wraps.
It will also offer CWENCH Hydration as the exclusive beverage across the entire Canlan network in Canada and the US and will rename the Ontario Canlan Classic Tournaments hockey event to the CWENCH Hydration CCT Tournament Series.
Hydration partners
CWENCH Hydration has been adopted as the official hydration partner of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL), Hockey Super League and HPL Hockey.
Cizzle has also secured a partnership with Klevr youth hockey network. Collectively, these partnerships will see the CWENCH brand represented on the uniforms of over 500 teams representing more 12,000 young players across North America.
Retail sales
CWENCH is currently available at over 1200 points of sale in Canada, the US and Europe including major retail chains such as Sport Chek, Canadian Tire, Source for Sports, Giant Eagle and Life Time Fitness, as well as hundreds of independent sporting goods retailers.
The brand is also sold at concession stands, pro shops and vending machines at 62 sporting arenas in Canada and the US.
